Kempton Park 11th November 2020

Kempton 11th November 2020

Plenty of novice races tonight so if you are doing a placepot bet with care !

16.00  Class 5  Nov Stakes 2 Yr  Old 7f

Last time winner Bullace sets the standard from the in form Beckett yard after winning on second start at Chelmsford by a neck. Others to look at are Borrowed Angel (Crisfords) who ran here in a slowly pace less affair and should improve for that. Nine Tails and Ventura Kingdom hail from yards that both like to bring debutants to Kempton and do well so a market check would be advisable. Big Boy Bobby was awarded a good RPR last time at Newbury although didn’t show much here first time out. I will pick those with the lowest draws.

Selection Bullace (7/2) Next Best  Nine Tails (5/1)

16.35  Class 5  Nov Stakes 3 Yr  Old + 7f

This division doesn’t appear to have quite as much depth and with only 3 debutants and can be discounted on FTO form. Rifleman from the J Gosden ran here the other week and was beaten by an odds on Godolphin runner so should make amends tonight. Million Reasons is the next best with decent run at Newcastle when attracting quite a bit of money to go off 6/1.

Selection Rifleman (4/5) Next Best:  Million Reasons  (4/1)

17.05 Class 5 Fillies Novice Stakes 2 Yr Old  7f

Electrical Storm had been off the track for close on a year when running last time at Newcastle, didn’t show much and went off 13/2 gets the visor for the first time tonight, just 11% SR for visored SBS runners. The two last time winners have both been off the track for some time, Crackling for 681 days and Desert Flyer 333 days, while both trainer’s have good records for 60+ day lay offs, caution should be applied to translating this to these length lay offs. Elmetto also has been off the track for 371 days finishing second on debut. Not a race to get too involved with but if push comes to shove, I would put Desert Flyer ahead of Elmetto

Selection Desert Flyer  (5/2)  Next Best Elmetto  (10/3)

17.35 Class 5 Fillies Novice Stakes 2 Yr Old  1m

Urban Violet looks of interest here berthed in stall 2 having led for an all the way win last time at Newmarket on heavy ground. Khezaana ran well at Redcar but is drawn 11 and Glyndebourne also has chances on Chelmsford debut run behind Bullace.  C Appleby brings a newcomer in Desert Star but again drawn 13. Although still a maiden Cirrus could go well from stall 1.

Selection Urban Violet (7/2)  Next Best Cirrus (5/1)

18.05 Class 5 Fillies Novice Stakes 2 Yr Old  1m

Companionship looks the one to oppose on the basis of stall 12, often W Haggas’s runners here are quite short price, whereas Final Applause is drawn 1 and wears the hood on debut (Appleby shows a profit for all his hooded runners). Fiesty from the Beckett yard looks the alternative after a run here over 7f.

Selection Final Applause (7/4)  Next Best Fiesty (3/1)

18.35 Class 4 Handicap 3 Yr  Old +  1m

Fantasy Believer returns to the track where he last won, has shown two reasonable efforts at Newbury and more recently at Goodwood, interesting now back on the AW. Conscious has also won round here when trained by R Charlton didn’t show much last time at Chelmsford in a class 4. Stone Soldier has won over here on 1 start but that was 7f, be interesting to see how this one goes after a couple of runs at Redcar, only had 3 runs on the AW and read 191. Sparkling Olly is in good form as is trainer R Beckett up 4lbs for a hd second last time.

Selection Stone Soldier  (12/1) Next Best Sparkling Olly  (7/2)

19.30 Class 4 Nursery Handicap  2 Yr Old   6f

The three at the bottom of the weights appeal most, Dewey River now has SDS aboard and should go well back at Kempton after getting stuck on the rail last time at Wolves, back to 6f too. Setantii Girl has been highly tried running in a Listed race at Newbury and a Class 1 event at Ayr, in between ran well in a Nursery at Pontefract.  Razor Glass looks promising after winning here last time again over 6f doesn’t look too badly weighted beating two horses off 80 and 84.

Selection Dewey River  (5/2) Next Best Razor Glass  (6/1)

19.35 Class 3 Handicap 3 Yr Old+   7f

Plenty of pace about here, Diocles of Rome has been running recently on the  turf but goes well on the AW and especially here where form figures of 11127 (was rested after last run last season). From the inform R Beckett yard also combines well with Rob Hornby 22%.  For the next best Dyami won here in a maiden event, has bottom weight and a decent draw.

Selection Diocles of Rome  (5/1)  Next Best Dyami  (6/1)

20.05 Class 4  Handicap 3 Yr Old +  2m

Imperium will not be much of a price but looks the likely winner won here on handicap debut off 70 and has progressed well, needs time in between races but should give a good account, W Buick rides. The alternative is Al Kout who has an eyecatching jockey booking.

Selection Imperium (11/8)  Next Best Al Kout (3/1)
